Inclusive Drawings Period Kit (electronic resource)
The Period Drawings were designed by the SHQ Education & graphic design team, in collaboration with clinicians, clinical education team and many young women from the community.
These drawings are anatomically complete, culturally diverse, non-medical, non-shaming and suitable for use in community education.
The Period Kit contains images of:
- Uterus front view
- Uterus with period
- Types of pads
- Pads in underwear
- Period cup folds
- Positions of people inserting a tampon
- External view - insertion of tampon
- Internal view – position of tampon & cup in the vagina
They may be useful for people working in community education and contribute towards people gaining knowledge, skills, confidence and empowerment in understanding periods.
